Senior Java Developer

JOB BRIEF 

We are looking for a JAVA developer who has the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements and who can design applications around natural user interfaces 

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING ON A REGULAR BASIS (RESPONSIBILITIES) 

1. Excellent knowledge of Spring and Struts frameworks 
2. Excellent knowledge of Java, JSP, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, XML, JASON 
3. Good knowledge of Hibernate, MySQL 
4. Knowledge of coding standards and good commenting practices 
5. Knowledge of Agile & DevOps principles is a plus 
6. Exposure to the SpringBoot and Angular JS is a plus. 
7. Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements 
8. Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces 
9. Experience with REST API connections 
10. Ability to design intuitive and robust REST APIs in collaboration with a server-side team 
11. Good with documentation (diagrams, README, Changelog, code comments, commit 
12. messages) 
13. Proficient understanding of code versioning and the Git tool 
14. Proficiency in unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general 
15. reliability 
16. Proficiency in bug fixing and improving application performance 
17. Proficiency with HTML and Javascript is a plus 
18. Experience in Microservices 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR (REQUIREMENTS) 

1. Work experience as a Java Software Engineer, Java Developer or similar role 
2. Experience building Java EE applications 
3. Familiarity with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) 
4. Good knowledge of popular Java frameworks like JSF and Spring MVC 
5. Experience with test-driven development 
6. Problem-solving skills 
7. BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
